Yoga for Anxiety

A slow-paced flow of specific poses adapted through stretch, flexibility, strength and toning to meet everyone’s needs and abilities. Each posture is held a little longer to focus on taking your time within your practice.

This class is set up as a warm, safe and welcoming space with a deep understanding of the challenges of anxiety. There is no expectation for attendees to speak unless they want to but to show up, engage in a yoga session to warm the heart and lift the soul before leaving for the rest of their day with a well-needed boost and calmed nervous system. Attendees are welcome to stop for a chat after the class with peers or teachers and a warm drink is always available.

How can you Benefit from Yoga for Anxiety?

By practising yoga, you will build strength, flexibility and increase your range of motion. Whilst aligning your breath to your movements as guided by your teacher, you will improve your focus and bring yourself into the present moment before being guided through meditation in Savasana to clear your mind at the end of every practice.

This practice in particular creates space for you to show up as you are and get what you need with no societal expectations. The postures practiced in this class will help to regulate the nervous system and share breathing and calming techniques that can be used in day-to-day life to manage the symptoms of anxiety.
