Over 55’s Mat Yoga
A flow of specific poses adapted to practice on either a mat or chair in the same class through stretch, flexibility, strength and toning to meet everyone’s needs and abilities.
How can you Benefit from Over 55’s Mat Yoga?
By practising yoga, you will build strength, flexibility and increase your range of motion. Whilst aligning your breath to your movements as guided by your teacher, you will improve your focus and bring yourself into the present moment before being guided through meditation in Savasana to clear your mind at the end of every practice. The poses in this class aim to aid the problem areas experiences most by those over 60 – including lower back pain and shoulders. It is also adapted to both chair and mat practices in the class to all levels of abilities and mobility so it really is a personal practice to support your journey.

With thanks to our collaboration with Personal Growth and Empowerment and funding from Sports England, this class is free for your first 4 weeks of attending and will run at a discounted rate to a standard class for the weeks to follow. There is no advance booking for this class, just turn up to the studio by15:00 on a Thursday to attend!
